john+lety=married {groomals} | phoenix, az wedding photographer | elisha j. schabel

lety is an old roommate whom i adore. she is an “iron {wo}man”{see pics at end of post} and has completed several marathons and other races throughout the yrs. she is my hero when it comes to that. such discipline and determination. i couldn’t wait to meet the man who finally stole her heart. meet john. he’s a lucky guy. it was so good to see lety again after almost 3 yrs. time flies so quickly! i love how photography brings great people into my life and allows me to catch up with old friends. i tell my friends, “if you want to see me these days, you can come talk to me while i edit, or you can book a shoot! ha” photography is my life. it was such an honor to photograph lety and her new man. he’s one of those guys who you meet and instantly feel his warmth and charm and say “he’s a great guy. i approve :)” i wish these two a lifetime of giggles, laughter, love and joy. xoxo…e *there are lots of cute/fun candids. i couldn’t resist posting. some shots crack me up {especially the one where he looks like he’s defying […]

rob & anne | after the wedding {trash the dress} session | phoenix, az wedding photographer | elisha j. schabel

you may remember this couples’ desert botanical gardens wedding {post} here is the session we did together 2 months after the wedding. typically in the industry we call this a “trash the dress” session. we don’t really “trash” it. it’s just an example of a more highly casual bride and groom session where we can get a little more artistic and funky in a sense, and put on cowboy boots if we want and not have to worry about keeping the dress pristine clean. it’s also a great idea to have a session with me, if you got your pictures back from your wedding photographer and didn’t like them or didn’t get the shots you were hoping for, or perhaps for the LDS bride and groom, getting sealed. or just for fun! it’s very intimate. and that’s what i love. call me and we can do a fun “trash the dress” session too! we can get as creative as you’d like! i adored this session, just like i adore them. blessings…e black and white just says it more, sometimes. yes there were wild horses at this location. my hopes are to tame them someday and let me pet them. a […]
